New Flagship Bonn Store, Germany
Through M Worldwide, a retail design agency, I was asked to produce some lighting for the new TKMax flagship store in Bonn, Germany. Part of their brief was to 'Recognise and embrace the trend towards a more natural and textural environment from the existing, bright white and glossy treatments'. I designed some wall lights and pendants based on M Worldwide's original drawings and ended up supplying nearly 60 light pieces. They needed the shades to fit a new large globe LED bulb (90mm diameter) so accurate measurements were paramount. It was certainly a challenge as each shade needed to be hand blown in time and delivered with no breakages. We all worked very hard and got the lights out to them in just 4 weeks from the date of order. Job well done I think!
